What you will be doing
- Define and lead the implementation of Breathe’s DevOps practices
- Continuously improving our engineering efficiency
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and automation within the engineering team
- Coordinate collaborations across the engineering organisation to improve product development speed
- Ensure the scalability and reliability of our infrastructure to support business growth
- Work closely with software engineers, IT, and other stakeholders to streamline processes and improve communication
Your day to day
- Implement and support the implementation of CICD, e.g. automation pipelines, IaC, branching and merging strategies, etc.
- Manage key engineering software (e.g. licenses and uptime), specifically Matlab, Jama, SCM, Package management, Python
- Support engineers to onboard onto our tools and use them efficiently
- Ensure that software development practices are known and adhered to across the engineering organisation
Your background
- Knowledge of key DevOps tools (Git, Gitlab, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Azure/cloud)
- Experience with both SaaS and on-prem services and their management
- Understanding of IT infrastructure and networking principles
- A track record of implementing DevOps practices from scratch
- Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, Bash)
- Knowledge of security principals and practices in a DevOps context
- Ability to work cross functionally in a Kind and Conscientious manner
